Common questions
How does polyester strapping compare to steel strapping for load security?
Polyester strapping delivers equivalent holding power for most applications while eliminating rust, corrosion, and sharp-edge hazards. It retains tension longer than alternative strapping materials, ensuring loads stay secure throughout the shipping cycle. The 80% weight reduction makes it safer for personnel to handle without sacrificing durability on medium to heavy-duty loads.
What sealing equipment works with this smooth polyester strapping?
This strapping is compatible with both serrated and sandpaper seals, the industry standard for polyester strapping application. No additional tools or equipment modifications are needed, it works with existing strapping machines in your facility.
Will this strapping work for outdoor and export shipments?
Yes. The non-corrosive polyester composition makes it ideal for outdoor storage and international shipments where moisture and salt exposure would corrode steel alternatives. It maintains structural integrity in humid, coastal, and wet environments without degradation.
How much can I save switching from steel strapping to this polyester option?
You can save up to 40% on strapping material costs while reducing labor burden by 80% due to lighter weight handling. Additional savings accrue from eliminating corrosion damage, reduced equipment maintenance, and faster application speeds with polyester versus steel.
