Common questions
How does polyester strapping compare to steel strapping?
Polyester strapping delivers comparable strength to steel at 40% cost savings and 80% lighter weight. Unlike steel, it's non-corrosive, won't rust or degrade in wet conditions, and retains tension longer throughout the shipping cycle, eliminating load shifts and restrapping needs.
What sealing methods work with this strapping?
This smooth polyester strapping seals efficiently with both serrated and sandpaper seals, offering flexibility with your existing strapping equipment. Ensure your sealing tool is rated for.021 gauge material for optimal results.
Is this strapping suitable for outdoor or harsh environments?
Yes. The UV-resistant formulation protects against sun damage and weathering, making it ideal for outdoor storage, marine applications, and exposed warehouse conditions where steel strapping would corrode.
What does '16 x 6" core' mean?
The 16 x 6" core is the plastic spool diameter on which the strapping is wound. This standard size fits most industrial strapping dispensers and hand tools, ensuring compatibility with your existing equipment.
