Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean, and will these boxes stack safely on a pallet?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) 32 indicates the corrugated can withstand 32 lbs of crushing force per linear inch, standard for single-wall boxes handling 25 - 35 lbs per box. ECT-32 supports 3 - 4 box layers on a standard pallet without collapse when loaded evenly; actual stacking capacity depends on product weight and pallet configuration.
How do the flap tabs improve packing efficiency?
The flap-tab design mechanically locks flaps in the closed position without tape, reducing closure time by 15 - 20% per box, minimizing tape inventory costs, and improving worker ergonomics during high-volume packing operations.
Are these boxes suitable for hazmat or fragile items?
ECT-32 single-wall is rated for general merchandise up to ~30 lbs. For fragile or hazmat shipments, upgrade to ECT-40 double-wall or use internal protective padding; consult Packrift's compliance team for regulated material requirements.
What's the cost per box when buying a case of 25?
Pricing scales with volume tier and current kraft input costs. Contact Packrift sales for quote; bundled purchases of 5+ cases unlock additional discounts and freight consolidation savings.
