Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean and is it strong enough for my shipments?
ECT-32 (Edge Crush Test 32) indicates the box can support 32 pounds of force per linear inch of edge. This single-wall construction is standard for light-to-medium duty applications including e-commerce, retail, and general shipping. For heavier items exceeding 15-20 lbs or extreme stacking scenarios, consider ECT-44 double-wall boxes.
How many boxes per pallet and what's the typical freight savings vs. heavier alternatives?
This 12x9x10" dimension ships approximately 120-140 boxes per pallet depending on stacking method. ECT-32 single-wall reduces dimensional weight vs. double-wall by up to 40%, cutting freight costs significantly while maintaining adequate protection for standard shipments.
Are these boxes recyclable and what's the environmental impact?
Yes, 100% recyclable kraft corrugated material supports circular economy goals and reduces landfill waste. Kraft production uses fewer chemicals than bleached alternatives, making this a sustainable choice without compromising structural performance.
What's the maximum stacking height and weight load for these boxes?
ECT-32 single-wall boxes typically support stacking heights of 4-5 high when loaded with standard products (8-15 lbs per box). Always validate stack height based on your specific product weight and warehouse environmental conditions (temperature/humidity affect cardboard performance).
