Common questions
What weight capacity does ECT-32 support for stacking?
ECT-32 corrugated supports approximately 65 lbs per box with safe stacking to 4-5 box heights on standard pallets. Actual capacity depends on product density and internal load distribution. Test with your specific product weight before full-scale deployment.
How does the 16x16x14 dimension optimize shipping costs?
This dimension fits 12 boxes per layer on a 48x40" standard pallet (6 layers = 72 boxes), maximizing cube utilization while staying within standard pallet weight limits. Compared to smaller boxes, you reduce per-unit dimensional weight charges on LTL and parcel carriers.
Is this box suitable for heavy or fragile items?
ECT-32 is classified as standard strength, ideal for non-fragile goods weighing 40-65 lbs. For fragile items or weights exceeding 65 lbs, upgrade to ECT-44 double-wall or evaluate internal cushioning materials like crinkle fill or foam inserts.
Can these boxes be customized with printing or branded tape?
Packrift stocks plain kraft boxes in bulk quantities. Custom printing and branded packaging solutions are available through our account team, contact sales for minimum order quantities and pricing on white-glove customization services.
