Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean and why does it matter?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) 32 indicates the box can withstand 32 pounds of pressure per linear inch when stacked vertically. This rating is ideal for standard shipping and warehouse stacking, ensuring your products arrive intact while keeping costs competitive versus heavier-duty ratings.
How much weight can a 17x14x12 ECT-32 box safely hold?
Single-wall ECT-32 boxes typically support 30 - 40 lbs of product weight depending on contents distribution and stacking height. We recommend testing with your actual product load to confirm suitability for your specific application.
Will these boxes save me money on freight?
Yes. Single-wall construction reduces dimensional weight compared to double-wall alternatives while delivering adequate protection for mid-weight shipments. Bulk ordering by the bundle also lowers per-unit costs, improving your packaging ROI across high-volume operations.
Are these boxes recyclable and eco-friendly?
Absolutely. Our kraft corrugated boxes are 100% recyclable and made from renewable materials, supporting your sustainability goals while meeting B2B shipping standards. Partner with Packrift for responsible, cost-effective packaging solutions.
