Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean, and is it right for my operation?
ECT-32 (Edge Crush Test) measures the box's stacking strength, 32 pounds per linear inch. This is the industry standard for general-purpose shipping of merchandise under 30 lbs per box. It's ideal for e-commerce, retail, and light industrial use. For heavier items, consider ECT-44 or ECT-48 alternatives.
How many of these boxes fit on a standard pallet?
When stacked flat in bundles of 25, approximately 40 - 50 bundles (1,000 - 1,250 boxes) fit on a 40x48" pallet, depending on stacking height and weight limits. This density maximizes freight efficiency and reduces per-unit shipping cost for volume buyers.
Are these boxes suitable for fragile or high-value items?
ECT-32 provides reliable protection for standard merchandise but may not be optimal for fragile electronics or high-value goods in long-haul transit. For added protection, pair with interior cushioning or upgrade to ECT-44 single-wall or double-wall options available through Packrift.
Can I customize these boxes with my company branding?
Yes. Packrift offers flexographic and digital printing on kraft corrugated boxes in bulk orders (typically 5,000+ units minimum). Contact our sales team for custom quote, lead times, and artwork requirements.
