Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean and is it right for my products?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) rating of 32 indicates this single-wall corrugated can withstand 32 pounds of force per linear inch. ECT-32 is ideal for light-to-medium weight products, general merchandise, and applications where boxes are stacked 3-4 high on pallets. For heavier items or higher stacking, consider ECT-44 or double-wall alternatives.
How many of these boxes can I stack safely on a pallet?
Standard pallet stacking with ECT-32 single-wall typically accommodates 4-5 box heights without crushing, assuming contents are evenly distributed. Stack height and weight capacity depend on product density and warehouse conditions. Always conduct load testing with your specific products to determine maximum safe stack configuration.
Will these kraft boxes affect my freight costs?
Yes, positively. The 20 x 18 x 12" dimensions are optimized for pallet utilization and stay within standard freight density requirements. Single-wall construction reduces dimensional weight compared to thicker alternatives, lowering LTL and parcel shipping costs without sacrificing standard-strength protection.
Are these boxes eco-friendly for green shipping claims?
Yes. These ECT-32 kraft corrugated boxes are 100% recyclable and contain recycled content. The kraft material is compostable and supports sustainability claims in your supply chain communications, appealing to eco-conscious retailers and end consumers.
