Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean and why does it matter?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) 32 indicates the box can withstand 32 pounds of edge crush force per inch of width. For industrial B2B shipping, ECT-32 is the standard baseline for medium-weight products, providing adequate stacking performance on pallets while maintaining cost efficiency across high-volume operations.
How many boxes fit on a standard pallet?
A 22 x 22 x 14" box typically allows 8-12 boxes per layer depending on orientation, with 8-10 layers per pallet. This configuration optimizes freight density and reduces per-unit shipping costs on LTL and TL shipments.
Are these boxes suitable for heavy items?
ECT-32 single-wall is rated for standard-weight products up to approximately 35-50 lbs depending on contents and stacking height. For heavier items, consider ECT-44 or double-wall options. Our team can recommend the right spec for your payload.
Can I customize or print on these boxes?
Yes. Packrift offers flexographic printing options for logos, barcodes, and shipping information. Contact our sales team for minimum order quantities and pricing on custom print runs.
