Common questions
What is the difference between the 42" usable length and actual tube length?
The 42" measurement refers to usable interior space for document storage. Actual tube length is longer to accommodate the structural overlap and cap assembly. This ensures your documents fit securely without exceeding the tube capacity.
Will these tubes meet USPS and UPS shipping requirements?
Yes. The 4" diameter and heavy-duty 3-ply construction comply with major carrier standards for cylindrical mailers. Their rigid design protects contents during handling while meeting dimensional requirements for standard shipping rates.
Can I reorder just the end caps if they wear out?
Absolutely. Replacement 4" end caps are sold separately (SKU: PMTCAP4-C820) so you can extend tube life and reduce overall packaging costs by reusing the sturdy kraft tube bodies.
How many items fit in a 4" x 42" tube, and what is the weight capacity?
Capacity depends on content type and density. A single rolled blueprint, poster, or document bundle up to 42" long fits easily. The spiral wound construction provides excellent structural support for typical office documents; consult Packrift's team for heavy or oversized item specifications.
