Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean, and how does it affect my shipping decisions?
ECT-32 (Edge Crush Test) indicates the box can withstand 32 pounds of crushing force per linear inch. This single-wall grade is ideal for lightweight-to-medium items and maximizes stacking height on pallets without overpack waste, directly lowering your per-unit shipping cost.
Can I stack these boxes safely in a warehouse environment?
Yes. ECT-32 single-wall corrugated supports safe stacking when properly loaded. Typical stacking height is 4 - 6 boxes high, depending on item weight and pallet configuration. Consult your specific load weight to confirm stack limits for your application.
Why choose this tall box over mailing tubes for cylindrical items?
The 6612" box offers dimensional efficiency on pallets, lower material cost per unit, and better protection from crushing during transit. Unlike tubes, corrugated boxes nest and stack efficiently, reducing your freight spend and warehouse footprint.
How many boxes fit on a standard 4840" pallet?
Approximately 100 - 120 flat bundles (2,500 - 3,000 individual boxes) can ship on a single pallet, depending on your stacking pattern. Once assembled, expect 40 - 50 boxes per pallet layer, allowing 8 - 10 layers for optimal cube utilization and freight efficiency.
