Common questions
What is ECT-32 and why does it matter for my shipping costs?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) 32 indicates the box can withstand 32 pounds of pressure per linear inch of edge. This single-wall construction is ideal for lighter to medium-weight items, reducing material cost and dimensional weight charges while maintaining adequate protection and stacking durability.
Can these tall boxes replace mailing tubes?
Yes. The 36" height and 6" x 6" square footprint accommodates long items like fishing rods and poles typically shipped in tubes, with the added benefit of better stackability, easier labeling, and lower per-unit cost than cardboard tubes.
How many boxes fit on a pallet, and what's the freight advantage?
The narrow 6" x 6" base allows 16 - 20 boxes per layer with standard pallet patterns, reducing overall pallet footprint and dimensional weight. This translates to lower LTL and parcel carrier charges, especially for high-volume or lightweight shipments.
Are these boxes suitable for stacking in warehouse storage?
Yes. ECT-32 kraft corrugated provides reliable stacking performance for moderate-height warehouse shelving. Stacking capacity depends on item weight, but these boxes are engineered to support typical fulfillment center storage and handling operations.
