Common questions
What ECT rating does this box have and why does it matter?
ECT-32 (Edge Crush Test) indicates this single-wall corrugated can withstand 32 lbs of crushing force per linear inch. For B2B shipping, this rating ensures reliable stacking performance in warehouse environments and during multi-box pallet shipments, protecting your products while maintaining cost efficiency.
Can I use this box instead of a mailing tube?
Yes. The 6x6x40" dimensions and ECT-32 strength make it an excellent alternative to mailing tubes for shipping rods, tubes, and tall items. You'll gain stackability, lower per-unit costs, and easier bulk handling compared to cylindrical tubes.
How much freight space does this save compared to standard boxes?
The tall, narrow profile (6x6 base) minimizes pallet footprint and dimensional weight charges. One pallet holds more boxes per layer vertically, reducing overall shipment cubic footage and lowering freight-in costs for high-volume shippers.
Is this box suitable for heavy stacking?
ECT-32 single-wall corrugated is designed for moderate stacking in typical warehouse conditions. For maximum crush resistance in high-stacking scenarios (6+ layers), consider ECT-44 or double-wall alternatives. Always verify load weight and stack height with your specific product weight.
