Common questions
Why choose oil-treated paperboard over standard stencil boards?
Oil-treated paperboard prevents ink bleed-through, delivering sharp, professional marks every time. The embedded oils also lubricate your stencil machine punches, significantly extending equipment lifespan and reducing maintenance costs, a direct ROI for high-volume shipping departments.
Can these boards work on curved surfaces like cylindrical packages?
Yes. The.015" thickness provides optimal flexibility to conform to both flat and curved surfaces without compromising rigidity or mark quality. Cut with the grain for best results when adapting to non-flat applications.
How many marks can I expect from one stencil board?
Oil-treated boards are durable and won't tear or pull during cutting or repeated marking. With proper storage and handling, a single board can produce thousands of clean marks before replacement becomes necessary, maximizing your cost-per-label efficiency.
Is this product compliant with shipping and logistics standards?
Yes. These Marsh® Oil Boards are industry-standard for shipping room applications and support compliance with DOT, OSHA, and common carrier labeling requirements. The oil treatment ensures legible, permanent marks that meet regulatory documentation standards.
