Common questions
What ECT rating means and why ECT-32-B matters for my operation?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) 32-B indicates your mailer withstands 32 lbf/in of crushing force, ideal for small parcels. This rating balances protection for fragile items with lightweight postage efficiency. For heavier items over 5 lbs, consider ECT-44 alternatives.
How much warehouse space and shipping cost can I save versus rigid boxes?
Flat-shipped mailers consume 75-85% less storage space than pre-assembled boxes and weigh 30-40% less, directly reducing dimensional weight charges on parcel carriers like UPS/FedEx. A case of 50 mailers occupies roughly 1 cubic foot versus 8+ cubic feet for rigid equivalents.
Do these mailers require tape, glue, or special equipment to assemble?
No. These one-piece fold-and-tuck mailers require zero assembly materials. Simply fold the flaps together in seconds and seal with a standard packing tape if needed. Assembly takes under 15 seconds per unit, reducing fulfillment labor by 40-50% versus traditional boxes.
Are these mailers suitable for fragile items like glassware or electronics?
Yes. The double-wall construction on front and sides provides crush resistance rated for ECT-32-B. For extremely fragile items, we recommend adding 2-3" of interior cushioning (foam, air pillows, or kraft paper). The 6x3x3" size works perfectly for individually wrapped items.
