Common questions
What does ECT-48 mean and why does it matter for my warehouse?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) 48 indicates the carton withstands 48 pounds of force per linear inch before crushing. This rating is critical for stacking operations, ECT-48 double wall boxes support 4-6 layers of stacking safely, maximizing pallet density and reducing per-unit shipping costs while preventing product damage.
How much freight space do I save with flat-pack vs. pre-assembled boxes?
Flat-packed boxes compress to approximately 15% of assembled volume, delivering 5-6 times more cartons per pallet. For a typical fulfillment center ordering monthly, this translates to 3-4 fewer freight shipments and substantial LTL savings.
Are these boxes suitable for heavy items or just lightweight products?
ECT-48 double wall construction is engineered for medium to heavy items up to 35-40 lbs per box, depending on product density and stacking configuration. The robust kraft material resists puncture and perforation better than single wall alternatives.
Can I order partial bundles or do I need to buy in increments of 15?
Standard orders are bundled in quantities of 15, but Packrift accommodates bulk orders and custom quantities for high-volume buyers. Contact our B2B account team for volume pricing and flexible order minimums tailored to your fulfillment cycle.
