Common questions
What is the crush strength and stacking limit for ECT-32 boxes?
ECT-32 (Edge Crush Test rating of 32 lbf/in) supports reliable stacking in 3 - 5 tier configurations depending on product weight and warehouse conditions. For exact stacking limits, consult our load capacity calculator or contact your account manager with your specific item weight.
Can these 6x6x60 boxes replace mailing tubes?
Yes. The tall, narrow profile and rigid ECT-32 construction make these boxes an excellent alternative to mailing tubes for fishing rods, curtain rods, and similar items, often at lower cost and with easier handling in automated systems.
How many boxes fit on a standard pallet when shipped flat?
When bundled flat, approximately 60 - 80 bundles (900 - 1,200 individual boxes) fit on a standard 48x40" pallet, depending on bundle stacking height. This high-density configuration maximizes your freight economy.
Are these boxes suitable for hazardous materials or heavy items?
ECT-32 single-wall is designed for standard, non-hazardous merchandise up to mid-weight ranges. For heavy items or regulated materials, upgrade to ECT-44 or double-wall corrugated. Contact us for guidance on your specific application.
