Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean, and why does it matter for my operation?
ECT-32 (Edge Crush Test rating of 32 lbs/inch) indicates the box can withstand 32 pounds of crushing force per linear inch of edge. For warehouse operations, this means reliable stacking height (typically 4 - 5 boxes high without product weight), reduced damage claims, and lower shrinkage on freight.
Can I use 8x8x20 boxes instead of mailing tubes?
Yes. The tall, narrow profile with end-loading access mimics tube functionality while offering stacking capability, easier labeling, and better dimensional weight efficiency on carrier scales, saving 15 - 25% vs. tube shipments of equal length.
How many boxes per pallet, and what's the landed cost impact?
One bundle of 25 flat boxes occupies minimal warehouse space (approx. 1.2 cu. ft.). A standard pallet holds 40 bundles (1,000 boxes). Ordering in bulk reduces per-unit cost by 20 - 35% and cuts inbound freight per box by up to 40% versus smaller quantities.
Will these boxes handle heavy items or multi-tier stacking?
ECT-32 single-wall supports moderate-weight items (up to ~50 lbs per box, depending on density) and stacks reliably 4 - 5 high in warehouses. For heavier or taller stacks, upgrade to ECT-44 double-wall. Consult our load calculator or sales team for your specific application.
