Common questions
What is ECT-32 and why does it matter for my shipping needs?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) 32 measures the corrugated board's resistance to crushing along its edges, ensuring reliable stacking performance for mid-weight shipments. ECT-32 kraft single-wall is ideal for tall items under 15 - 20 lbs, balancing protection and cost without unnecessary heavy-gauge material.
Can these 8x8x42 boxes replace mailing tubes for long items?
Yes. The 8 x 8 x 42" profile accommodates the same tall, rigid products as mailing tubes while offering cushioning capability, easier labeling, and better integration with standard pallet systems. End-loading design also speeds packing versus tube insertion.
How many boxes fit on a standard pallet?
Flat-packed bundles of 20 stack efficiently to maximize pallet utilization, approximately 30 - 40 bundles per pallet depending on stacking height and your warehouse equipment. Actual capacity depends on your specific handling and load weight limits.
Are these boxes food-safe or suitable for sensitive contents?
These ECT-32 kraft boxes are standard-duty corrugated suitable for non-food, non-hazardous industrial shipments. For food-grade or sensitive-content applications, consult our packaging specialists regarding upgrades to food-grade or higher-ECT materials.
