Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean, and is it strong enough for my products?
ECT-32 (Edge Crush Test) indicates 32 lbs per inch of edge crush strength, ideal for lightweight to mid-weight items under 15 lbs. For shallow, flat products like apparel and books, ECT-32 delivers reliable protection while keeping dimensional weight and shipping costs low. If you're shipping heavier items, consider ECT-44 alternatives.
How much storage space do I save with flat-ship boxes?
Flat-ship corrugated boxes reduce storage footprint by up to 60% compared to pre-assembled inventory. A bundle of 25 boxes ships compact and stacks efficiently until assembly, freeing up valuable warehouse space and reducing holding costs for growing operations.
Can these boxes handle stacking in a warehouse environment?
Yes. ECT-32 kraft corrugated is designed for moderate stacking (typically 3 - 5 boxes high when loaded with standard products). Stack height depends on product weight; lighter items allow taller stacks, optimizing pallet space utilization and freight efficiency.
Are these boxes suitable for direct customer shipment or branding?
Absolutely. Kraft brown corrugated is a professional standard for B2B and B2C fulfillment. These boxes work well for branded tape or custom printing (available through Packrift's print services). The 882" size is ideal for gift packaging and retail unboxing experiences without excess wasted space.
