Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean and why does it matter?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) rating of 32 means each box can withstand 32 pounds of force per linear inch when compressed vertically. This single-wall rating is ideal for most B2B shipping, parcel delivery, and light stacking scenarios without the weight or cost penalty of double-wall.
Can these boxes stack safely in a warehouse?
Yes. ECT-32 supports stacking in standard warehouse conditions when boxes are properly loaded and palletized. For high-rise racking or extended storage, test your specific load weight and environmental factors (humidity, temperature) to confirm stacking height limits.
How does the 8x8x36 dimension reduce shipping costs?
The tall, narrow footprint lowers dimensional weight charges by fitting more units per pallet vertically while maintaining a compact base. This maximizes payload efficiency on LTL and parcel carriers, reducing cost-per-box on multi-unit orders.
Is this a suitable alternative to mailing tubes?
Yes. The rigid corrugated structure provides protection compared to tubes while offering better moisture resistance and shelf presence. The end-load design allows quick packing without the labor of rolling or wrapping, making it faster for fulfillment centers.
