Common questions
What thickness is the 22-point chipboard?
The 22-point designation refers to.022" thickness, providing optimal stiffness-to-weight ratio. This thickness prevents flexing without adding excessive weight to shipments, helping you maintain competitive shipping costs.
Can these pads be used with envelope stiffeners?
Yes, the 18 x 24" pads work excellently as standalone envelope stiffeners or as layered protection within cartons. Many customers use them as the primary stiffening layer in document mailers to prevent bending and creasing during transit.
Are these pads environmentally compliant for shipping?
Absolutely. Made from 100% recycled kraft fibreboard, these pads meet sustainability requirements for eco-conscious shippers and are fully recyclable with standard cardboard waste streams.
How many pads do I need for a typical carton?
One pad per carton top layer is standard for box cutter protection. A case of 190 pads covers 190 boxes, ideal for small to mid-size operations. Calculate based on your monthly shipment volume to determine case quantity needs.
