Common questions
What makes.022 point chipboard better than thinner alternatives?
The.022 point thickness provides optimal rigidity for envelope stiffening and carton protection without excessive weight. This gauge is engineered to prevent box cutter penetration while staying cost-effective for high-volume bulk orders.
How many pads do I need per shipment?
Most standard envelope and carton applications use 1-2 pads per shipment. With 960 pads per case, a single case typically covers 480-960 shipments, making bulk purchasing highly economical.
Are these pads compatible with standard folding cartons?
Yes. The 8.5 x 11" size fits perfectly in standard mailers and flat-rate boxes. They work as both top-layer protection and product separators without requiring additional trimming.
Will recycled content affect product quality or durability?
No. Recycled fibreboard at.022 point meets the same rigidity and cut-resistance standards as virgin material. You reduce environmental impact without compromising shipping protection or increasing damage claims.
