Common questions
Can these multi-depth boxes really replace multiple carton sizes?
Yes. The pre-scored panel design allows boxes to collapse securely to 4", 6", 8", or 12" heights without tools or equipment. This single SKU eliminates the need to stock separate 4x4x4, 6x6x6, 8x8x8, and 12x12x12 boxes, reducing inventory management complexity and procurement costs.
What is ECT-32 and why does it matter for my operation?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) 32 measures the corrugated board's ability to resist crushing under vertical pressure. ECT-32 kraft provides strong stacking performance, protecting product during warehouse stacking and transit while maintaining cost-efficiency for standard shipping applications and reducing damage claims.
How do multi-depth boxes reduce my shipping costs?
Parcel carriers calculate dimensional weight (box volume / 166). By collapsing boxes to fit your product exactly, you reduce cubic inches, lower dimensional weight charges, and decrease freight costs. A 6" tall shipment costs significantly less than shipping in a full 12" box.
Are these boxes food-safe or suitable for specialized products?
These ECT-32 kraft corrugated boxes are suitable for general shipping of non-food products, electronics, apparel, and industrial goods. For food contact or specialized compliance (FDA, organic certification), contact Packrift to confirm product suitability for your specific application.
