Common questions
Are the end caps included, and can I order additional caps separately?
Yes, each tube comes with one matching cap included. Additional 4" end caps (PMTCAP4-C820) are available for purchase separately to replace damaged caps or accommodate future needs.
What's the difference between usable length and actual tube length?
The 72" usable length refers to the interior space available for documents. The actual physical tube is slightly longer to accommodate the end caps, measure your specific documents before ordering to ensure proper fit.
Can these tubes meet shipping carrier requirements for hazardous or fragile materials?
These tubes are ideal for protecting fragile rolled documents. For hazardous material shipping, verify your specific carrier's dimensional and material requirements, as regulations vary by substance and destination.
Why choose spiral wound over other tube construction methods?
Spiral wound construction with 0.125" thickness provides crushing resistance and rigidity compared to single-wall tubes. This means better protection for contents, fewer damaged shipments, and lower total cost of ownership despite slightly higher unit cost.
