Common questions
How should I judge fit for the 18" (Height) x 8" (Width) x 4" (Gusseted Depth) size?
The listed size is 18" (Height) x 8" (Width) x 4" (Gusseted Depth) — the gusseted sides fold out so the bag can open to its listed depth and sit around blockier items. The catalog lists inside-usable dimensions of 18" (Height) x 8" (Width) x 4" (Gusseted Depth), so that measurement is what your item has to fit within.
What does 1 mil film mean in practice?
A mil is one-thousandth of an inch, so 1 mil film is 1/1000" thick — 4 mil film, for example, is twice the film thickness of 2 mil. Heavier film of the same material stands up to punctures and rough handling better; lighter film costs less per bag and packs tighter. This listing's material is specified as Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE), 1 Mil Thickness.
Can I swap PB1395 for the next size up or down?
Not as an exact replacement. The closest size in this line is 12x8x4" (same 1 mil film), and the same 18" (Height) x 8" (Width) x 4" (Gusseted Depth) size is also stocked in 3 mil. Before switching, match the listed dimensions, 1 mil thickness, and case count — then reorder by exact SKU PB1395.
How do I close these bags, and how do they ship?
These are open-top bags — close them with a heat sealer, bag tape, twist ties, or staples, whichever fits your workflow. This listing is sold as one case of 1,000 bags — roughly $0.058 per bag at the current case price (confirm the live price before ordering). Orders ship from Packrift's five US warehouse regions (Central IL, NE PA, S TX, SE GA, and W CA); delivery options and timing are shown at checkout.
