Common questions
Will a boxy or bulky item fit in this 8x4x18" bag?
The listed size is 8x4x18" — the gusseted sides fold out so the bag can open to its listed depth and sit around blockier items. The catalog lists inside-usable dimensions of 18" L x 8" W x 4" Gusset, so that measurement is what your item has to fit within.
How does 2 mil compare with lighter or heavier film?
A mil is one-thousandth of an inch, so 2 mil film is 2/1000" thick — 4 mil film, for example, is twice the film thickness of 2 mil. Heavier film of the same material stands up to punctures and rough handling better; lighter film costs less per bag and packs tighter. This listing's material is specified as Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE), 2 Mil Thickness.
Is there a drop-in substitute for PB1580?
Not as an exact replacement. The closest sizes in this line are 6x3x18" and 10x6x20" (same 2 mil film), and the same 8x4x18" size is also stocked in 1.5 mil. Before switching, match the listed dimensions, 2 mil thickness, and case count — then reorder by exact SKU PB1580.
What do I need to seal these, and what does a full order look like?
These are open-top bags — close them with a heat sealer, bag tape, twist ties, or staples, whichever fits your workflow. This listing is sold as one case of 1,000 bags — roughly $0.11 per bag at the current case price (confirm the live price before ordering). Orders ship from Packrift's five US warehouse regions (Central IL, NE PA, S TX, SE GA, and W CA); delivery options and timing are shown at checkout.
