Common questions
What actually fits inside a 26x24x48" gusseted bag?
The listed size is 26x24x48" — the gusseted sides fold out so the bag can open to its listed depth and sit around blockier items. The catalog lists inside-usable dimensions of 26 x 24 x 48 inches, so that measurement is what your item has to fit within.
Is 3 mil the right thickness for my use?
A mil is one-thousandth of an inch, so 3 mil film is 3/1000" thick — 4 mil film, for example, is twice the film thickness of 2 mil. Heavier film of the same material stands up to punctures and rough handling better; lighter film costs less per bag and packs tighter. This listing's material is specified as Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE), 3 Mil Thickness.
Can I swap PB1776 for the next size up or down?
Not as an exact replacement. The closest sizes in this line are 24x24x48" and 28x24x60" (same 3 mil film), and the same 26x24x48" size is also stocked in 1 mil. Before switching, match the listed dimensions, 3 mil thickness, and case count — then reorder by exact SKU PB1776.
How do I close these bags, and how do they ship? And can I use them for food?
These are open-top bags — close them with a heat sealer, bag tape, twist ties, or staples, whichever fits your workflow. This listing is sold as one case of 50 bags — roughly $2.08 per bag at the current case price (confirm the live price before ordering). Orders ship from Packrift's five US warehouse regions (Central IL, NE PA, S TX, SE GA, and W CA); delivery options and timing are shown at checkout. On food use: the film is Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE), 3 Mil Thickness, a material commonly used in food packaging, and the manufacturer spec sheet for this item lists "Regulatory Compliance: FDA and USDA Approved". Food-contact compliance is still certified per product lot, so check the spec sheet or contact us for lot documentation before direct food contact.
