Common questions
How long do these cold bricks maintain temperature?
Re-Freez-R-Brix® Cold Bricks maintain uniform chilled temperatures for over 12 days, depending on ambient conditions, insulation quality, and shipment duration. This extended performance reduces risk of product thawing during standard ground and air transit.
Are these cold bricks compliant with pharmaceutical shipping regulations?
Yes. These bricks are formulated with food-safe, non-toxic materials and sealed in heavy-duty plastic pouches, meeting FDA and international regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical, blood product, and biohazard material shipments.
What's the difference between 9x8x1.5 and other cold brick sizes?
The 9 x 8 x 1.5 inch format is engineered to optimize space efficiency in standard insulated shippers while providing cooling distribution compared to thinner alternatives. This balance maximizes thermal performance without excessive weight penalties.
Can I reuse these cold bricks?
Re-Freez-R-Brix® Cold Bricks are reusable, simply refreeze in standard freezers between shipments. Bulk purchasing (cases of 6) reduces per-unit costs when rotating inventory across multiple shipments, improving total cost of ownership.
