Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean and will these pads support my stacked pallets?
ECT-32 (Edge Crush Test) indicates the pad can withstand 32 pounds of force per inch of edge, sufficient for layering typical warehouse loads up to 20-30 lbs distributed across the pad surface. For heavier loads or multi-tier stacking, consider ECT-44 or double-wall alternatives.
Can I use these 3040 pads on standard 4048 pallets?
Yes. The 30" 40" dimension fits within the 40" 48" pallet footprint, leaving a 2-4" margin on each side. This slight overhang prevents forklift tine puncture and allows secure positioning without full coverage waste.
How many pads do I need per pallet in a multi-layer stack?
Insert one pad between every 2-4 product layers depending on item weight and fragility. A typical 5-layer pallet requires 4-6 pads; order in bundles of 5 for cost efficiency and consistent inventory.
Are kraft corrugated pads food-safe for direct contact with consumables?
These kraft sheets meet standard food-contact requirements for non-oily, dry goods. For direct food contact (produce, proteins), verify FDA compliance or upgrade to food-grade corrugated alternatives if required by your supply chain standards.
