Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean and how does it impact stacking performance?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) 32 indicates the corrugated material can withstand 32 pounds of force per linear inch when measured along the flute direction. This rating ensures reliable load distribution and prevents deflection when used as a layer pad, making it ideal for standard warehouse stacking applications without risk of product damage.
Can I use these 42x48 pads on standard 40x48" pallets?
Yes. The 42x48" dimension provides slight overhang on standard 40x48" pallets, which is intentional for better weight distribution and product protection. This size is optimized for both pallet types commonly used in North American logistics.
How many sheets do I need per pallet load?
Most operations use 1-2 sheets per pallet layer depending on product weight and stack height. For mixed-weight items, place one sheet every 2-3 layers. Our 5-sheet bundles are designed for typical 50-100 pallet monthly volume users; bulk customers can order by the case for volume pricing.
Will these corrugated pads reduce my freight costs?
Yes. By enabling safer stacking and reducing product-to-product contact, slip sheets minimize damage claims and allow tighter pallet configurations. This increases loads per shipment and reduces freight-per-unit costs by 5-15% depending on your current stacking method and damage rates.
