Common questions
Why is oil treatment important for stencil boards?
Oil treatment serves two critical functions: it prevents ink bleed-through for sharp, professional marks on boxes and materials, and it lubricates stencil machine punches during character cutting, significantly extending the life of expensive punch dies and reducing equipment maintenance downtime.
Can these boards be used on curved surfaces?
Yes, these oil boards are designed for both flat and curved surfaces. The.015" thickness provides ideal flexibility while maintaining rigidity when cut along the grain, allowing them to conform to rounded container shapes without tearing or losing marking quality.
How many boards are in one case?
Each case contains 1,175 sheets of 5" x 16" oil-treated paperboard. This bulk quantity is designed to support high-volume shipping rooms and warehouses, providing excellent cost per unit and reducing reorder frequency.
Will these boards work with our existing stencil marking system?
Yes, Marsh® oil boards are the industry standard for stencil equipment and are compatible with virtually all commercial stencil marking machines used in shipping, warehouse, and manufacturing environments. The oil treatment actually improves equipment performance by reducing punch wear.
