Common questions
What tape core size does this dispenser accept?
The Tape Logic TDSD2 is engineered for standard 2-inch (50mm) core diameter rolls, the industry default for carton sealing tape. Verify your tape spool core matches this specification for optimal fit and smooth operation.
How does the adjustable brake improve seal quality?
The adjustable brake regulates tape tension and feed rate, preventing overwinding, bunching, and uneven adhesion on carton flaps. Supervisors can calibrate tension based on tape type and carton material, ensuring consistent, reliable seals across production batches.
Is this dispenser suitable for both automatic and manual packing lines?
Yes. The ergonomic pistol grip and quick side-load design work effectively in manual hand-sealing operations and as a backup tool on semi-automated lines. Its durability supports continuous use in high-throughput environments.
What maintenance does this tape dispenser require?
Periodically inspect the brake mechanism and rollers for tape residue or adhesive buildup. Clean with a dry cloth and ensure the side-load mechanism operates smoothly. Metal components resist corrosion in typical warehouse conditions; no lubrication needed.
