Common questions
How much VCI paper do I need per shipment?
We recommend one square foot of VCI paper for every one cubic foot of packaging volume. For maximum protection, completely wrap metal parts. A case of 25,000 sheets (1" x 1") provides approximately 694 sq. ft., suitable for multiple shipments depending on your box sizes.
Is VCI paper safe for all metals?
VCI paper is specifically designed for ferrous metals and steel components. It's highly effective for iron, steel, and alloys. For non-ferrous metals like aluminum or copper, consult our technical team to ensure compatibility with your specific material.
Does VCI paper comply with shipping regulations?
Yes. VCI-treated kraft paper complies with IATA, IMDG, and DOT shipping standards. It requires no hazmat labeling and is fully recyclable, making it ideal for international shipments without regulatory complications.
How long does VCI protection last?
VCI protection is effective for 12-24 months depending on storage temperature, humidity, and seal quality. For extended storage or harsh environments, ensure metal parts are completely wrapped and the packaging is properly sealed to maximize vapor barrier effectiveness.
