Padded Mailers

Start a padded-mailer order with the packed item, cushioning format and number of mailers required. Padded describes an envelope with a cushioning component; check the exact product to establish whether that component is bubble lining or another construction. The examples below are bubble-lined candidates in different outer materials.

Measure the item with its approved packing materials and confirm the selected mailer’s usable opening and interior. Listed dimensions and a numbered mailer size are reference facts, not a universal fit allowance. Do not transfer a half-inch allowance across every item, closure or lining.

Keep the size order exactly as listed and confirm the usable measurement convention. The outer materials, dimensions and case counts differ. This is not a protection-equivalence or postage-savings comparison. Use the exact assembled package when checking fit and obtaining carrier charges.

Check the finished item, its contact with the lining, closure space and the method required by your packing process. Added lining alone does not establish that a mailer can replace a rigid carton for every product. Test the complete packed item when changing a recurring shipment.

Count shipments before cases

For 450 suitable B827 mailers, three 200-count cases supply 600, leaving 150. For 450 suitable B854SS mailers, five 100-count cases supply 500, leaving 50. These are alternative quantity examples; select the accepted format before comparing actual delivered cost.

Keep different sizes on separate order lines. Include the SKU, physical quantity, whole cases, destination ZIP, timing and unresolved fit requirement when requesting a quote. Compare delivered totals for the accepted product and cases required, including the effect of whole-case surplus.

Choose the required construction

Use the bubble-mailer comparison when the required cushioning is specifically bubble lining. For an unpadded self-seal envelope, compare poly mailers separately. If the process requires a rigid outer pack or different cushioning, compare the shipping-box and void-fill routes rather than choosing by the envelope name.

Record any exact material, closure, contact or security requirement instead of inferring performance from kraft, white or poly descriptions. A self-seal closure does not by itself establish a certified tamper-proof function.
