About this item

3M 764 general purpose yellow vinyl safety tape delivers instant adhesion on contact with zero downtime for your packing line. Common questions
Will this tape stick to wet or oily cardboard surfaces common on packing lines?
Yes. The rubber adhesive bonds on contact to most surfaces, including slightly damp cardboard encountered in humid packing environments. For heavily oiled surfaces, pre-clean with a dry cloth to ensure optimal adhesion and prevent peeling during shipping.
How does the 5.0 mil thickness compare to standard vinyl tape for case sealing durability?
5.0 mil provides exceptional resistance to abrasion, scuffing, and edge peeling during warehouse handling and pallet transport. Thicker backing reduces tear risk when cases are stacked, moved by equipment, or exposed to forklift contact, extending seal integrity through the supply chain.
Can this yellow tape work with automatic tape dispensers on our packing line?
Yes. The 1" width and consistent roll tension are compatible with most industrial tape dispensers. The rubber adhesive's instant activation minimizes downtime, no waiting for adhesive to set, keeping your production line moving at full speed.
Does this tape resist the chemicals and solvents used in our cold-chain packaging?
Absolutely. The durable vinyl backing resists acids, alkaline chemicals, moisture, and solvents commonly found in refrigerated and frozen logistics. This ensures case seals remain intact even in challenging temperature and humidity conditions.
