About this item
SKU VHB491001R — 5 yds × 5 yds, 40.0 Mil, Clear.
3M 4910 VHB double-coated tape delivers permanent, high-strength bonding for glass, acrylics, and transparent applications on your packing line. 1 " width x 5 yards, 40 mil clear acrylic adhesive engineered for edge-bonding, skylight sealing, and translucent sign mounting. Temperature and moisture resistant (-40°F to 200°F) for reliable case sealing without fasteners.
Common questions
Will this VHB™ Tape work with our existing case sealing dispenser?
Yes. The 1" width and standard core configuration are compatible with most industrial tape dispensers used on packing lines. Verify your dispenser accepts 1" width rolls. The 40-mil thickness provides excellent tensile strength without jamming.
How strong is VHB™ Tape compared to traditional fasteners?
3M™ 4910 VHB™ Tape replaces rivets, bolts, screws, and spot-welds in most applications while providing flexibility and vibration resistance. It achieves permanent bonding without stress points, reducing case failure rates and assembly time on your line.
Is this tape suitable for outdoor-exposed packaging?
Yes. The tape is UV, moisture, and solvent resistant with a wide temperature range (-40°F to 200°F), making it ideal for cases exposed to weather, moisture, or temperature fluctuations during storage and transport.
Can we use this for edge-bonding glass without drilling holes?
Absolutely. 3M™ 4910 is specifically engineered for glass and acrylic edge-bonding applications, including resin-filled glass. It maintains optical clarity when properly applied, so it won't compromise visibility on transparent case components.
