Common questions
Will this tape work with our lacquer coating process?
Yes. The 3M™ 2060 is specifically engineered for lacquer masking with high adhesion that resists paint bleed-through. The rubber adhesive maintains contact during cure cycles up to 200°F, ensuring clean paint lines without edge failure.
Can we use this on uneven or rough surfaces without tape failure?
Absolutely. The aggressive rubber adhesive is designed for rough surfaces like concrete, wood, and stucco. It conforms to irregular surfaces better than standard masking tape, reducing gaps and paint bleed risk on imperfect substrates.
How long does the tape remain effective if we're running a multi-day job?
The 3M™ 2060 maintains adhesion for up to 3 days of indoor or outdoor use. For applications involving heat cure, it withstands temperatures up to 200°F for one hour without adhesion loss or residue transfer.
Is this case quantity right for our packing line?
A case of 12 rolls (720 linear yards total) is designed for high-volume industrial operations. At 1" width, this provides substantial coverage for masking multiple production line stations. Order multiple cases for continuous operation without supply interruptions.
