Common questions
How much usable room does the 24x36" size really have?
The listed size is 24x36". Plan for contents slightly smaller than the nominal size — the usable interior runs a bit under the listed measurement once the bag takes shape around what you load into it.
How does 6 mil compare with lighter or heavier film?
A mil is one-thousandth of an inch, so 6 mil film is 6/1000" thick — 4 mil film, for example, is twice the film thickness of 2 mil. Heavier film of the same material stands up to punctures and rough handling better; lighter film costs less per bag and packs tighter.
Is there a drop-in substitute for PB8635?
Not as an exact replacement. The closest sizes in this line are 22x36" and 28x36" (same 6 mil film), and the same 24x36" size is also stocked in 1 and 1.5 mil. Before switching, match the listed dimensions, 6 mil thickness, closure type, and case count — then reorder by exact SKU PB8635.
How do these bags close, and how are they shipped?
The closure is listed as Compatible with Twist Ties, Bag Tape, or Impulse Sealers, so the bag closes without separate tape or heat. This listing is sold as one case of 100 bags — roughly $1.34 per bag at the current case price (confirm the live price before ordering). Orders ship from Packrift's five US warehouse regions (Central IL, NE PA, S TX, SE GA, and W CA); delivery options and timing are shown at checkout.
