Common questions
What makes these tubes better than plastic mailers for document shipping?
Kraft fibreboard tubes offer cost efficiency at scale, are fully recyclable, provide excellent crush resistance due to 3-ply spiral wound construction, and meet eco-conscious shipping standards. They're ideal for businesses shipping rolled documents, blueprints, and posters regularly.
Do these tubes come with end caps?
No, end caps are sold separately. We offer compatible 5" end caps (SKU: PMTCAP5-C820) that seal tubes for maximum protection and professional presentation during shipping.
What's the difference between usable length and actual length?
The 36" usable space is the interior rolling capacity. Actual tube length is slightly longer to accommodate end cap installation, ensuring documents stay secure and protected during transit.
Are these tubes suitable for oversized document mailing?
Yes. The 5" inside diameter accommodates rolled documents up to 36" in length. For larger volumes or different dimensions, consult our sizing guide or contact our packaging specialists for recommendations.
