Common questions
What is ECT-32-B and how does it compare to other corrugated ratings?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) 32 indicates 32 lbs of crush strength per inch of corrugated length, ideal for lightweight packages under 10 lbs. This rating balances cost efficiency with adequate protection, delivering 15-20% better stacking performance than ECT-23 while maintaining competitive pricing.
Do these mailers require additional assembly materials like tape or glue?
No. The one-piece fold-and-tuck design features pre-scored lines that allow mailers to fold together in seconds without tape, glue, or staples. This reduces assembly labor by up to 60% compared to traditional bottom-seal boxes.
How many units fit on a standard pallet, and what are freight savings implications?
A single bundle of 50 units ships flat and nests efficiently. Typical pallet configurations accommodate 40-50 bundles (2,000-2,500 units) per pallet, reducing per-unit freight cost and enabling bulk purchasing discounts without proportional warehouse footprint increases.
Are these mailers suitable for fragile items, and how is protection achieved?
Yes. The double-wall corrugated construction on front and sides (created by the fold-and-tuck design) provides crush resistance comparable to two-piece rigid mailers. Recommended for lightweight fragile items under 5 lbs; for heavier or extremely fragile goods, ECT-44 rated mailers are advised.
