Common questions
What does ECT-32 mean and how does it impact shipping performance?
ECT (Edgewise Crush Test) 32 indicates the box can withstand 32 pounds of force per linear inch of edge before crushing. This standard-strength rating is ideal for single-layer stacking in warehouse environments and typical parcel delivery conditions, balancing cost efficiency with reliable product protection.
How many of these boxes fit on a standard pallet, and what's the cubic volume savings?
Flat-packed, approximately 1,250-1,500 boxes fit a standard 40x48" pallet depending on stack height. The 8x5x5" dimension offers compact cubing (200 cubic inches per box) compared to larger standard boxes, reducing freight spend by 15-25% on volume shipments.
Are these boxes suitable for cold storage or outdoor use?
ECT-32 kraft corrugated is designed for standard indoor warehouse and logistics environments. For extended cold storage or high-humidity conditions, we recommend consulting our team about sealed or moisture-resistant alternatives to prevent edge deterioration.
Can I customize the boxes with printed branding or logos?
Yes, we offer custom printing on kraft corrugated at volume. Minimum orders and lead times apply. Contact our sales team with your design specifications and quantity requirements for a custom printing quote.
