Common questions
What does ECT-32-B mean, and how does it perform in multi-tier stacking?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) 32-lb rating indicates the corrugated can withstand 32 pounds of crushing force per linear inch of edge. ECT-32-B is suitable for single and dual-layer stacking in typical parcel networks; for heavy stacking in warehouses, confirm weight and height limits with your logistics team.
Do these mailers require tape or adhesive, and how does that save money?
No, the fold-and-tuck design closes securely without tape, glue, or staples. This eliminates material costs (tape/adhesive), labor time (2 - 3 seconds per box vs. 10+ seconds with tape), and reduces SKU complexity in inventory.
How much postage savings do these deliver compared to traditional boxes?
Lightweight kraft reduces dimensional weight surcharges, especially with UPS DIM divisor and FedEx DIM factor calculations. A single mailer typically saves $0.15 - $0.35 per shipment at scale; bundles of 50 across monthly volume yield thousands in annual freight savings.
What products should not be shipped in ECT-32-B mailers?
Avoid heavy items over 15 lbs, liquids, or extremely sharp/pointed objects that may puncture walls. For oversized or high-value fragile goods, upgrade to ECT-44-B or add interior cushioning (foam, bubble). Consult carrier weight/dimension limits for your service tier.
