Common questions
What is ECT-32-B corrugated and how does it perform?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) 32-B indicates a crush-resistant rating of 32 ECT with B-flute corrugation. This medium-duty rating provides excellent protection for lightweight items while maintaining minimal wall thickness, reducing volumetric weight and freight surcharges on dimensional weight pricing models.
How does the fold-and-tuck design improve operational efficiency?
One-piece construction eliminates tape, glue, and staples. Workers assemble mailers in seconds by folding, no consumable supplies needed. This reduces assembly time per unit by 40-60% versus tape-sealed boxes and lowers total cost-per-shipment across high-volume operations.
What is the maximum recommended weight limit?
ECT-32-B corrugated supports up to 5 lbs per mailer with intact crush resistance. For heavier items, consider ECT-44-B rated mailers. Always test with your specific product weight and stacking configuration to confirm performance.
How many units fit per pallet and what freight savings should we expect?
At 2" height, approximately 400-500 mailers fit per standard 48" x 40" pallet depending on wrap configuration. Lightweight construction (avg 0.3-0.4 oz per unit) minimizes dimensional weight charges; typical savings of 8-15% on freight costs versus rigid boxes of equivalent internal volume.
