Common questions
What does ECT-32-B mean, and how does it affect performance?
ECT-32 refers to Edge Crush Test of 32 pounds per linear inch, a measure of corrugated board strength. The 'B' denotes board grade. This rating ensures reliable crush resistance for typical small-package shipping while keeping material costs competitive. For most B2B fulfillment operations, ECT-32-B handles standard 5-10 lb shipments with confidence.
How much do these mailers weigh compared to rigid boxes?
ECT-32-B corrugated mailers weigh significantly less than equivalent rigid boxes or heavier corrugated grades, directly reducing dimensional weight charges on UPS, FedEx, and USPS Priority Mail. Lower weight = lower postage, making bulk orders highly cost-efficient for high-volume shippers.
Do I need tape or adhesive to close these mailers?
No. The fold-and-tuck design allows mailers to close securely without tape, glue, or staples. This speeds packing operations, eliminates adhesive costs, and reduces material waste, key advantages for high-throughput fulfillment centers.
What items shouldn't I ship in these mailers?
These 7x4x2" mailers work best for lightweight items under 5-10 lbs. Avoid shipping very heavy products, items with sharp edges (unless padded), or oversized goods. For heavier shipments, upgrade to heavier ECT ratings or larger box dimensions to maintain crush resistance and prevent damage claims.
