Common questions
What does ECT-32-B mean, and why does it matter for my operation?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) 32-B indicates the material can withstand 32 lbs of force per inch of edge, making it ideal for stacking during storage and transit. This rating ensures your shipments maintain integrity through multi-carrier handling without requiring additional void fill.
How much do these mailers reduce my shipping costs compared to traditional boxes?
The 7" x 4" x 2" dimensions minimize dimensional weight surcharges on major carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS). Flat-ship storage also reduces warehouse cubic footage, lowering facility overhead per unit shipped by up to 40% versus rigid boxes.
Can these mailers be assembled by automated equipment in my fulfillment center?
Yes. The fold-and-tuck design assembles manually in seconds without tape or glue, making it compatible with semi-automated packing stations. No special equipment required, operators simply fold, tuck, and seal.
Are these kraft mailers suitable for high-fragility items like glassware?
Absolutely. The double-wall ECT-32-B construction provides crush resistance for fragile goods. However, for maximum protection, we recommend combining these mailers with foam inserts or air cushioning for glass and ceramic items.
