Common questions
What does ECT-32-B mean, and how does it affect box performance?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) 32 indicates the corrugated can withstand 32 lbs of force per linear inch before crushing. The '-B' denotes single-wall corrugated construction with kraft facing, offering reliable crush resistance for small parcels at minimal weight and cost.
Can I skip tape and assembly steps with this mailer?
Yes. The one-piece fold-and-tuck design requires no tape, glue, or staples. Simply fold the flaps, tuck the closure, and seal. This reduces labor time by 15-20 seconds per box and eliminates supply costs.
How much storage space do I save by using flat-shipped boxes?
Flat mailers reduce storage footprint by approximately 40% compared to pre-assembled boxes. A pallet of 50-unit bundles stores in a fraction of the space, freeing warehouse real estate for inventory and improving inventory turnover.
Is this mailer suitable for heavier items, and what's the weight limit?
ECT-32-B construction handles items up to 5 lbs safely. For heavier products (5-15 lbs), consider ECT-44 or ECT-48 rated mailers. This 8x3x2 size is optimized for lightweight parcels where postage savings and protection are priorities.
