Common questions
What does ECT-32-B mean, and how does it impact shipping cost?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) 32 indicates 32 pounds per inch of crush strength, ideal for lightweight items under 10 lbs. The 'B' denotes single-wall construction, which minimizes tare weight and reduces dimensional weight surcharges on UPS, FedEx, and USPS Priority Mail.
Do these mailers require tape or additional closure materials?
No. The fold-and-tuck design self-closes securely without tape, glue, or staples. This saves material costs and labor time while maintaining a professional, tamper-evident appearance.
Can I stack these mailers flat for storage, and how much space do they occupy?
Yes. Flat mailers stack efficiently in standard pallet configurations, typically fitting 100-150 bundles per pallet. This maximizes warehouse density compared to pre-assembled rigid boxes.
Are these mailers suitable for heavier items, or should I consider a higher ECT rating?
ECT-32-B is optimized for items under 5 lbs. For heavier items, consider ECT-44 or ECT-48 rated mailers to ensure crush resistance and dimensional stability during multi-parcel palletized shipping.
