Common questions
What does ECT-32-B rating mean for my shipping application?
ECT-32-B indicates Edge Crush Test strength of 32 pounds per inch, meaning each mailer withstands 32 lbs of compressive force along its edge. This crush-resistant rating protects fragile items during multi-piece stacking, transit, and warehouse handling without requiring additional interior padding for most small packages.
How much assembly labor do these mailers save versus traditional boxes?
One-piece fold-and-tuck design eliminates taping, gluing, or stapling entirely. Operators assemble each mailer in under 5 seconds versus 15-20 seconds for tape-sealed cartons, translating to 3x faster fulfillment throughput and lower labor cost per shipment at scale.
Can these mailers be stacked in storage, and what's the footprint benefit?
Yes, units ship and store completely flat, requiring only 4-5 inches of vertical shelf space per 50-unit bundle versus 3-4 cubic feet for assembled boxes. A single pallet holds 100+ bundles (5,000 mailers), maximizing warehouse density before order fulfillment.
Are these kraft mailers eligible for dimensional weight reductions with major carriers?
Yes. The compact 8 x 6 x 4" footprint keeps volumetric weight low (192 cubic inches), helping qualify for standard weight-based pricing on USPS, UPS, and FedEx rather than dimensional weight surcharges, saving 15-25% on postage versus larger corrugated boxes for similar contents.
