Common questions
What is ECT-32-B and why does it matter for my shipping operation?
ECT (Edge Crush Test) rating of 32 indicates the mailer can withstand 32 lbs of crushing force per linear inch. This B-flute construction balances strength with lightweight design, reducing postage costs while protecting contents during multi-stop transit and pallet stacking. Ideal for high-volume operations prioritizing cost per shipment.
How much labor do I save with fold-and-tuck assembly versus tape-sealed boxes?
One-piece mailers eliminate tape-sealing steps, reducing fulfillment time by 15-30 seconds per box depending on operator skill. At scale (500+ boxes daily), this translates to 2-3 hours of labor recovery per shift, compounding savings across busy seasons.
What's the dimensional weight impact compared to larger mailers?
The 9 x 6 x 3" footprint minimizes dimensional weight surcharges by UPS/FedEx standards while maintaining sufficient internal volume for most small-to-medium items. Compact design reduces freight spend by 10-20% versus oversized alternatives for compatible products.
Can these mailers handle fragile items without additional internal packaging?
Yes. Double-wall corrugated construction on front and sides provides shock absorption suitable for fragile items like glassware, electronics, and ceramics. We recommend industry-standard void fill (air pillows, crinkle paper) for optimal protection and professional unboxing experience.
